How to Make Coniferous Trees Part 2
By Karin Gerald
After paint has dried trees are ready for flocking: spray each tree with hairspray, sprinkle lightly with flocking while holding onto trunk, twisting with fingers
to get flocking around whole tree, Apply hairspray again and let dry. Your tree can be planted as is or you can follow the next step to create a more realistic tree.
I like to shape my trees up a bit more by snipping horizontally and pulling layers apart gently to stretch the tree for more height. To use this method for larger.
trees use 6” skewers and cut filter material into larger squares using 2 or 3 squares of graduating sizes per tree, keeping in mind that the size of the square determines the diameter of your finished tree.
